East Kintyre Community Council

Your Community Council provides a link between Argyll & Bute Council and other public bodies and local people. It has a legal right to be consulted on planning applications and object to liquor licenses.

The Community Council is also expected to act on issues which it believes concern the interests of the community. The Community Council must be non-party and try to involve a very broad cross section of the community.

The Community Council holds regular meetings which are advertised, stating the main topics (Agenda), on local notice boards and on this website seven days before the meeting.

Agendas and minutes can be obtained from the Secretary, at meetings or on this website. Meetings are completely open to the public.

We are here to listen to your concerns.  We will help to bridge the gap between both you and Argyll & Bute Council officials and Elected Representatives. We liase with various bodies, voluntary organisations, MP's, MSP's and many others to help make East Kintyre a safe and pleasant place to live.
